San Jose

200,000 Indian Americans in Santa Clara County. Time for a Dating Show.

The South Bay has the largest South Asian population of any metro area in the United States. That is not an exaggeration. Sunnyvale, Cupertino, Fremont, Santa Clara, Milpitas. Walk through any Apple, Google, or Meta campus and count. Drive down El Camino Real and you’ll pass more Indian restaurants than you could eat at in a year. The desi presence here is so dense that it almost feels like the dating problem should solve itself. It doesn’t.

Garam Masala Dating is the #1 live South Asian dating show and singles mixer that started in New York City and has been selling out every other week. Real singles go on blind dates on stage, the audience watches and reacts, and everyone mixes before and after. It’s the social event this community has been missing.

The South Bay desi dating scene has a specific problem: everyone works at the same five companies, lives in the same cluster of apartment complexes, and has already matched with half the people on every app within a 20 mile radius. The social circles are enormous but they overlap completely. You need a room full of new faces with a shared reason to talk. That’s what this show does.

We’re building the San Jose and South Bay waitlist now. Stanford grads, Berkeley alumni, SJSU students, every engineer at every tech company on Mathilda Avenue. Get on the list for first access, or apply to be a contestant below.

Santa Clara County has over 200,000 Indian Americans. If even a fraction of the single ones show up, this will be the biggest desi dating event the Bay Area has ever seen.
